Where do I review and select my eligible Mitigation Projects in the Applicant Portal?

Modified on Thu, 31 Jul at 4:12 PM

Homeowners will be asked to review and select Recommended Improvements from the Initial Inspection Report that appear on the "Grant Application" steps.

Example of Recommended Improvements showing on Grant Application steps:

Only Improvements RECOMMENDED by an Inspector in a MSFH Program Initial Inspection Report and OBSERVED by an Inspector in a MSFH Program Final Inspection Report will be eligible for funding under the MSFH Program. No other construction is eligible for funding.

Applicants who do not receive any Recommended Improvements on the MSFH Program Initial Inspection Report will not be able to utilize a Hurricane Mitigation Grant and, therefore, cannot complete a Grant Application.

For any questions regarding the Initial Inspection Report or the Improvement recommendations, please contact the My Safe FL Home Inspection company directly using the information provided in the 'Inspection Assignment' email.

PLEASE NOTE: Townhouses are only eligible to receive funding for Improvement 1.0 – Opening Protection. Single-family homes that are attached to other units will be treated as Townhouses for the purposes of My Safe FL Home.
