Submitting the Prioritization Questionnaire:

Homeowners must enter the Applicant Portal and complete the following steps to ensure proper prioritization for future Inspection Application opportunities:

1. "Program Overview" – contains an overview of the My Safe FL Home Program and provides link to the MSFH Homeowners Guide.

  • Carefully review the provided information on the Program introduction and requirements.
  • Click the link provided to review the MSFH Homeowners Guide.
  • Read the Homeowner’s Guide and program overview information thoroughly. You will need to read and check every box on the page to continue.
  • Select "Complete & Continue" on the step to move forward.

2. "Introduction: Prioritization Questionnaire"contains an overview of information regarding the Prioritization Questionnaire.

  • Carefully review the provided information on the Questionnaire steps and requirements.

  • Select "Complete & Continue" on the step to move forward.

3. "Household Members" - contains household information to be filled in by the Applicant.

  • Enter the first name, middle name (optional), and last name as the "Primary Household Member." NOTE: Primary Household Member should be an owner of the home.
  • Then, include information for all household members claiming the property as their permanent residence. Examples may include spouses, children or other dependents, or relatives who live in the home. Members do not need to contribute income to the Household to be added to the list.
  • If you need to make a change to the designated Household Member, you can click on the link titled “Make Primary Household Member”.
  • Select "Complete & Continue" on the step to move forward.

4. "Property Information" - This step contains important demographic information such as property address, defining the Applicant, insurance provider, property information, county of residence, and alternate contact information.

  • To be eligible for an Inspection or Grant in the MSFH Program, you must have a Homestead Exemption on your property taxes.

After Submitting the Prioritization Questionnaire:

After submitting, you won’t see an immediate change in your case. If you refresh your screen you will see the status now change to “Prioritization Questionnaire Submitted”. Please continue to monitor your case status in the Applicant Portal regularly to see which Group you have been sorted into. The date your Inspection Application becomes available will be based on your assigned Prioritization Group. Please note that if the My Safe Florida Home Program exhausts its available funding before your group’s application window opens, you will not be able to apply for an Inspection.

We encourage everyone to regularly check their case in the Applicant Portal, the My Safe FL Home website at https://mysafeflhome.com/, and the MSFH Support Center for the latest updates.

PLEASE NOTE: Entering demographic information in the Prioritization Questionnaire is NOT considered the Inspection Application. The availability of the Inspection Application itself will be announced at a later date.
