Where do I review and select my eligible Mitigation Projects?

Modified on Fri, 6 Mar at 1:42 PM

Homeowners will be asked to review the recommendations from the Initial Inspection Report and select the Mitigation Projects they intend to complete during the Grant Application.

Only Improvements RECOMMENDED by an Inspector in a MSFH Program Initial Inspection Report and OBSERVED by an Inspector in a MSFH Program Final Inspection Report will be eligible for funding under the MSFH Program. No other construction is eligible for funding.

Example of Recommended Improvements showing on Grant Application steps:

Applicants who do not receive any Recommended Improvement on the Initial Inspection Report will not be able to utilize a Hurricane Mitigation Grant, and therefore, cannot complete a Grant Application.

If you have any questions about your report, please reach out to the Inspection Company directly. Their phone number and email will be on the email sent by the Program when your Inspection Application was approved.

PLEASE NOTE: Townhouses are only eligible to receive funding for Improvement 1.0 – Opening Protection. Single-family homes that are attached to other units will be treated as Townhouses for the purposes of My Safe FL Home.
