What do the 'Inspection Group' statuses mean?

Modified on Mon, 2 Mar at 5:00 PM

If this is your first time applying and you have not had an Initial Inspection yet, you will need to create a new case in the Applicant Portal (Neighborly) and complete the Prioritization Questionnaire. Once completed, you will be sorted into an Inspection Group. Your Inspection Group will determine the date an application will be available to you, subject to legislative appropriation and available funds.

On the below dates, you may complete and submit the Inspection Application in the Applicant Portal:

  • Inspection Group 1 – 60+ Low-Income - August 4th, 2025
  • Inspection Group 2 – Other Low-Income - August 18th, 2025
  • Inspection Group 3 – 60+ Moderate Income - September 1st, 2025
  • Inspection Group 4 – Other Moderate Income - September 15th, 2025
  • Inspection Group 5 – General* - September 29th, 2025

The following link can take you directly to the Applicant Portal: MSFH Applicant Portal. Access to the Inspection Application for all dates is available at 8AM EST.

Please continue to monitor the Program’s website, MySafeFLHome.comfor updates and information as they become available.

Once assigned to an Inspection Group, Applicants cannot modify the information provided in the Questionnaire, as it was verified as true and accurate on the date of signing.

*PLEASE NOTE: Group 5 contains Applicants of all ages who are above the Moderate-Income threshold. Based on funding, Group 5 Applicants may be able to access the Inspection Application once it opens. However, Group 5 Applicants are ineligible for Grants and will not be allowed to access Grant Application.
