One purpose of the Initial Inspection Report is to show which home upgrades, if any, can help make your home stronger in a hurricane. These upgrades are called Recommended Improvements. Some insurance companies may give you discounts if you finish these Improvements.
The sample picture shows what the summary page in the report might look like. Your Recommended Improvements may be different, because every home is different and it depends on what the Inspector sees. Your report may not include all the items shown in the sample image.
PLEASE NOTE: If your report shows an “Opening Protection” recommendation, please read that part of the report carefully. Not every window or door may be eligible for improvement, and only items that are recommended to be improved can be reimbursed.
