The Grant Indication of Interest step is available to Homeowners who received an Initial Inspection from the MSFH Program but have not yet submitted a Grant Application in the MSFH 2.0 Applicant Portal. Applicants who do not receive any Recommended Improvements or are placed in Group 5 will not be eligible to move forward to the Grant Phase.
Before Indicating Interest in Grant:
- Homeowners have already received an MSFH Program Initial Inspection Report. Please ensure that you have reviewed your Initial Inspection Report thoroughly before proceeding.
Submitting the Indication of Interest in Grant:
Homeowners must enter the Applicant Portal and complete the step "Grant Indication of Interest":
1. "Indicate Interest in Grant"
- Select the box stating that you understand you MUST not complete an eligible Mitigation Project prior to receiving approval on a Grant Application. Projects completed prior to receiving Grant Approval will result in denied disbursement of Grant funds for that Mitigation Project.
- Review the remaining information on this step carefully as it contains important and valuable details. If you choose to move forward to the Grant Phase, please note that you must be prepared to provide the following documents and/or information when it is time to complete your Grant Application.
- Provide a current homeowner’s insurance declarations page,
- Declare the Recommended Improvement(s) you wish to perform,
- Provide the name and license number of the Contractor intended to be used to complete the Recommended Improvement(s)
- Once you have reviewed the information on the step, you can elect to continue to the Grant
Application. Select the checkbox that states “I am interested in applying for a Grant”. - Select “Complete and Continue” to move forward.
After Submitting the Indication of Interest in Grant:
After completing this step, you will not see an immediate change to your case. Please refresh your browser to see the status change to "“Pending Grant Group Sorting.” There is no further action you need to take at this time. Your case will be sorted into a Grant Group to access the Grant Application, when or if it becomes available.
