Who is responsible for obtaining building permits?

Homeowners must ensure the Contractor receives all applicable building permits from the local building inspector’s office. You are also required to confirm all permits are closed out and the local building inspector’s office has completed all required building inspections prior to requesting a Final Inspection from the Inspection Company.
